Hi, I'm Jai, founder of SQ1 Fitness. My wife Kate and I have been running our Fitness business for almost 10 years now. And our main purpose is to help our community build healthier bodies and lifestyles, and avoid lifestyle induced illness.
I wasn't always fit and healthy, I worked in I.T for 13 years before starting SQ1 Fitness. During that time, I was at my unhealthiest, heaviest, unhappiest, and had the worst eating habits ever.
I would drink 4+ cups of coffee a day to stay awake, and struggled to keep my energy levels stable. The McDonalds drive-thru got a visit from me 2-4 times per week without fail, and weekends were for drinking lot's of beer.
Eventually the lifestyle got the better of me, which led to a health issue with my heart. I experienced a cardiac arrest in hospital, and am lucky to be alive today, which led me to a complete lifestyle and health transformation.
I realised that life was precious and short, and that we should take advantage of every day. So I quit my job, studied to become a Personal Trainer, and started SQ1 Fitness to help me and others to avoid lifestyle induced illnesses.
Fast forward a decade, and in that time I've met my wife Kate, who's joined me in the business. She also had a lifestyle transformation, moving from the banking industry into fitness and health, which is her passion as well.
Together, we've been able to help 1000's of beautiful people in our community and online to build healthy lifestyle habits, and change their bodies and lives.
